Welcome to a new segment of the SkateBonerMag blog simply called : Photogs. Once a month we will be featuring the work of underground skate photographers. It may not always be actual skating and it may have nothing to do with skateboarding at all, but these people are inspiring and creative and we love having SkateBoner being an outlet for these types of things. So without further adieu, here is the work of Kyle Ford.
Shady Lane is the first place I stayed when I came to skate Atlanta. It’s a skate house in Kennesaw, Georgia, and has been the hub for homies to crash for a long time. The first time I was introduced to this place was while we were filming for Metastasis, and we came with two full cars. We were welcomed with open arms when we rolled in around midnight. We started hanging out in the garage playing foosball and drinking a few beers. As the night proceeded, Power House started feeling a little loose and began to strip down to his boxers. He started pacing the garage, then eventually started doing front flips onto the foosball table while maintaining his beer. We made multiple trips back after that night, but that first experience will always stay with me. It’s been 4 months since I moved into the house, and there is still never a dull moment. There are constantly people in and out, meeting up to go skate, or drinking 30 racks and tackling roommate’s doors down. These are some photos of the dudes that hold this place down and keep Shady Lane going.
