The long awaited video part/montage from Nick Bland - in case you missed the premiere and release party. Here it is.
Growing up in flat-ass Wilmington, riding a bike is second nature to a lot of our crew in the Port City, so we decided to make a mission out of it to hit as many yards as possible in one day. Chet Childress, Jonathan Mincher, Rob Brown, and I started off hitting up Winnie's Tavern for some burgers and beers. Then we cruised over to the Pink Crack/Sunee Zachbox driveway bowl to meet up with Sunee Rogers and Colin Ransom. After warming the chill off our bones and a few clips, we rolled our wheels across the Sunset Park neighborhood over to the Talba treehouse where the session was kept as chill as the January air. Being in the shade and about 10 degrees cooler than the already cold air, we decided that the unique vert ramp was best attacked on a warmer day. TaeNeck met up with us there for the bike ride across town to BJ's new backyard miniramp completely outfitted with the best pool coping of all time. More people showed up and good times were had. Some cyclists were picked up there, some made the trek back across town. Chet and I rode back to Sunset Park, stopping for a little mattress artwork then splitting ways at a dark and still Greenfield Lake. Legs toast, face chapped I could not have asked for a better day living life to the fullest. Here's the video :

I'm not sure how it all started, but Sunset Park of the Road is like a hybrid of Thrasher's infamous King of the Road and Who's Line It Anyway. There's wacky challenges, gnarly challenges, tons of beer, and the points don't really matter because everybody who has a hangover the next day (or at 8pm day-of) is still a winner. Or a loser. Either way you look at it, it was a fun day.
